How do you create a community?

by
Hi, whats up all? I'm really curious what are you doing to gain interest to gain and keep interest to yourself, your product, startup, company etc? How do you engage people, what are the most important factors to remember when building a community?

imo, it really helps if you're in a Sales/Customer Solution role for several years in a specific industry. Gradually, you build a client/customer list with whom you can remain engaged throughout the year through F2F meets, newsletters. Eventually, when there are sufficient members - you can onboard them on a platform (e.g.: Facebook groups, slack, discord, whatsapp, telegram, etc.)

We are developing a new social media platform which also helps people manage their community for any purpose (It has a strong moderation scope, so any purpose is not any purpose - wetlk's Ts&Cs apply). I'd like to kindly invite you to join and check it. This is an evolving platform and developing with users' insights.

Prioritise creating value over everything. Why I say this is, communities are mostly focused on promotions rather than ensuring that every time a user visits the community, they learn something new. This is actually value and not pushing them to pay or opt for your product.

I'm struggling with this topic. I think regular engagement helps a lot. Just posting tweets without engaging does not work at all. Creating a free product might also help you build connections
