Why we're making AI detection actually fun to use

AI detection is a serious problem because of scams on one side and false accusations on the other. But while building our AI detector, we realized that if people are scared or bored by your tool, they won't use it, especially when there are plenty of other options on the market. And if they don't use it, all that serious tech doesn't matter.

One of the very first decisions for our product was to make it fun and easy to use. We'd already tested different AI detectors, and all of them were very academic, clean, and serious. Not saying that's bad, but we thought, what if AI detection felt less like a security checkpoint and more like having a curious friend look over your shoulder? That's why we created this fun logo, mascot and playful interface. Later on, we though, why not use the flame from the logo and the cat from the main page as a couple of cute AI detectives? They now show up in the interface, our social media and in an animated series (I'll talk about it in the next post). They make the whole topic of AI detection feel like and adventure, not like an interrogation.

Aside from our little heroes, the interface itself also shows visual evidence of AI, inviting you to look closer, notice details, and learn something new about AI detection while checking content, instead of tons of textual explanations. We wanted it to say "hey this part of yuor content looks suspicions, see?"
All of it because we want to solve not only tech problem, but emotional as well. This way we hope people want to check if something's real or AI.

Can you explain your product in less than 20 words? I'll start 👇

CoreSight: AI consulting team that builds financial models, presentations, and benchmarks like McKinsey would, minus the 500K price tag.
I'd love to hear your feedback on CoreSight and also see your product with its super short description.

What’s the biggest problem you face after sending a pitch deck to investors?

I hunted @Interactpitch yesterday and that inspired me to write this thread.

After you send your pitch deck to an investor what usually goes wrong?

How do you decide if a video is good enough before publishing?

Most teams I speak to still rely on gut feel, internal reviews, or past benchmarks to decide whether a video is ready".

But once it s live, the data tells a very different story drop-offs in the first few seconds, emotional disconnect, pacing issues.

How do you see the cult of multiple founders? (who, however, leave their businesses abandoned)

Over the past month, I've been scrolling through several LinkedIn profiles and noticed how some people have long portfolios of businesses that say:

Security tips that can save you time, money and stress (from my own experience, thank me later)

I have to admit I m a tragedy when it comes to being first at trying new technology or so which means I ve fallen for more scams and shady situations than I d like to count.

(At least I can warn my friends and family before they make the same mistakes, so that's the only advantage.)

I decided to share some best practices I regret not doing sooner:

Vidopix - Understand why people react the way they do in videos

Upload your video and understand how audiences are likely to react before you publish. Vidopix analyzes emotional and behavioral cues to surface engagement dips, pacing issues, and moments of confusion — helping teams fix what matters early. Built for marketers, researchers, and content teams working with video who want clarity, not guesswork

How do you treat content that doesn’t take off? (+ My rules)

Ten years ago, if a Facebook post didn t receive enough reactions, I would delete it immediately.

Yep, 18-year-old Nika was terrified that people would notice her failure. Reality check: when a post flops, almost nobody sees it anyway. The only person who actually suffers from the low engagement is the original poster.

What’s the one “boring” startup idea you wish someone would build?

AI is quietly eating the boring parts of startups, and that s where the real value is.

Most people talk about AI in the context of flashy features: code generation, image tools, marketing copy. But the real impact might be happening in the background.

When will technology advance to the point where we can live on Mars or the Moon?

Yesterday, @zaczuo shared an idea about delivering packages from space. To me, that seems quite sci-fi and financially demanding to actually pull off. Today, I m reading that Bezos predicts millions of people could be living in space by 2050.

How realistic is this scenario, given that the last time we set foot on the Moon was more than 50 years ago? (And above all, I feel like we still can t solve basic problems on Earth, let alone expand into space.)

How to build relationships with influencers when you want to promote your product?

This is more of a feedback for marketers who are trying to establish contact with bigger influencers.

Thanks to my experience from "both sides", I noticed certain patterns that could work better and satisfaction would be on both sides. :)

Which companies would you invest in if they were freely tradable?

Some companies are love brands for me, and I d like to support them. Others I see growing, and I d love to ride the wave. :D

Do you have any companies you d like to invest in, but that don t have a public offering yet? Which ones?

What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve blown startup money on?

What s the most ridiculous thing you ve blown startup money on?

Everyone has that regret: fancy office chair, logo redesign, too many SaaS subscriptions. What was yours?

When you attend a tech event, what do you usually expect?

Exactly one week from now, I ll be co-organising a tech event (a hackathon), and I m realising how much work it actually takes. I ve been to many conferences myself to gather inspiration, but I still can t come close to what I ve experienced as an attendee. Maybe that s also because we re organising it as just a 3-person team.

If you ve been to hackathons or other tech events before, what made a positive impression on you?

How do you manage to focus on your work when so many things are falling apart?

It's a rule that when one aspect of life is going well, the others are somehow failing.

At the moment, things couldn't be better on the work front:

  • I have a great team, and the company is doing well.

  • I'm praised for the results I deliver and the progress I'm making.

  • My networks are growing, and there's more and more interest in my sponsorships.

  • More people want to work together.

  • And I'm co-organising 2 offline events.

How many pitch decks have you created so far?

Every new version is the FINAL one until the next investor meeting.

Do you keep one master deck and tweak it, or do you end up building a whole new one each time?

How many pitch decks have you created so far?

How do you stay motivated when no one cares about your product?

I think most of us have been there. You keep building, shipping features, and it feels like nobody is paying attention.

Some days it really feels like shouting into the void when traction is slow.

For me, I try to remind myself why I started in the first place.

What’s one “unsexy” decision that made your product stronger?

We talk a lot about big launches, flashy features, and growth hacks. But sometimes it s the small, unglamorous decisions that really move the needle:

  • Saying no to a feature everyone asked for but didn t fit the core vision

  • Spending an extra week on onboarding copy instead of shipping something new

  • Choosing boring-but-reliable tech over shiny frameworks

For me, those unsexy calls often end up being the ones that shape the product long-term.

How do you feel about offering money to test a product?

Product Hunt was created specifically to showcase what you do. But let s face it, with the progress of AI, there are more and more products and you don t have time to test them all (respect to @gabe , who does this job brilliantly).

I noticed that as my following grew throughout social media, more people contacted me wanting to test products. Of course, I don t have room for everyone, and what s even more shocking is that to get to me, they want to compensate me for testing.

What if your videos could talk back?

We built @Vidopix AI Video Intelligence with a simple but bold question in mind: what would happen if videos could tell you what your audience really feels before you publish them?

Instead of guessing whether your ad s hook works, if viewers will drop off mid-way, or which emotions it sparks Vidopix listens to your videos and gives instant, AI-powered insights.
