@writerpollock My favorite has been Eric Whitacre's (https://wiselike.com/eric-whitacre) - mainly because I learned a lot about what someone can use Wiselike for. He got lots of praises on his page, and people who look up to him had a place to quickly get his word on something.
I'm looking forward to when Guy Kawasaki launches his page on Wednesday. You can see when certain people are joining here https://wiselike.com/featured
@emigna Wiselike pages are not just live events or one-time things. It persists. The idea is to use it as a page to showoff what you're good at (most likely it's what you do for a career). You build a subscriber-base through Wiselike over time (similar to followers on Twitter). These subscribers get notified whenever you answer a question, so it's a more direct connection than Twitter currently does with tweets in a feed.
We are aiming to help you create a more engaged and professional set of personal subscribers than what you'd get from Reddit or Quora. We want to help people connect in even better ways with their subscribers in the future. We hope this is more valuable than just a one-time 'AMA.'
Thanks for the question :)
Now anyone can host their own AMAs to share their expertise and passions with their followers or fans. Love the platform. My brother is a power user he loves it so much.
@aleksitappura Before I answer, being a professional/skill-based brand is a big difference between Wiselike and Ask.fm. I don't want to downplay that. That brand difference creates a whole other set of use-cases and gain for people creating pages - as Wiselike attracts a different crowd.
If it's 'features' you're mainly interested in, that Wiselike currently provides that are unique, then sure: 1) Anyone can ask you something without needing to be logged in on Wiselike. 2) We moderate each question you get, to prevent trolling/spamming before you see it.
The features, alone, are basic. Like most sites. It's a lot about how it can help bring value to people's lives with the features, service, brand, and community combined.
This sounds pretty awesome. @kyudlee Three questions:
1) What inspired you to create this?
2) What is the use case that you thought would be the most popular?
3) What is the most popular use case for the platform?
@mrtampham thanks for the question Tam!
1. I have always been interested in learning from professionals. I found it so amazing that everyone has different skillsets, passions, etc. I truly believe that everybody has knowledge, that if share, can help others. I talk about it in a bit more detail here! https://wiselike.com/kyu/questio...
2. I think it would be people who are naturally sharers (people most active with their blogs, twitter, etc). I hope people will understand the value in sharing their knowledge! With Wiselike, you don't have to initiate it like you do with your own blog. Instead, you let others tell you what they want to know.
3. I think it is too early to tell, but we will see. ;)
