So, your main focus is to help other companies like SaaS companies to get more leads by increasing the conversion rate using your form + sequences + AI in the background, right? And in the background some standard things like Groq, LangChain, LLM, etc, right? Or just ChatGPT API ๐Ÿ™ˆ ?

@dennisbabych Yep! We built our forms product first and we saw site conversions go up, but we knew we could further automate inbound lead handling steps. We booked 300+ calls when we first launched last year, so this was something I personally struggled with as well ๐Ÿ˜…. The AI is given objectives (e.g. schedule a demo) and access to data about the business and the lead (from Surface Forms). We can then configure the AI to engage with leads in different ways (e.g. SMS / WhatsApp / Email / Voice) depending on the scenario. We've built a lot of the agent orchestration and AI guardrails logic ourselves, and are outsourcing some of the harder parts (e.g. LLM calls, voice AI pipelines).

@zenda1122 Hi Zenda, thanks for asking! There's a couple specific ways we're using AI: 1. When a lead comes in, we are able to enrich the data in real-time using 3rd party data sources. For forms that ask open-ended questions, we can use AI to qualitatively assess the responses and assign a numerical score based on some criteria -- this makes it easy for sales teams to prioritize leads! 2. We can show personalized marketing content within the form as the user progresses -- for example, if you were to input your name and company on step 1, we could display a message specific to you and your company on step 2. This personalization can be very effective in boosting conversions! 3. After the form is submitted, all of the first-party data collected via the form is made available to our AI agents, which can then engage the lead (over sms, email, and phone) using that data in a much more personalized manner. We've found that SMS based communication (over which messages are typically shorter and less formal) is sufficient for many lead engagement scenarios, like scheduling a meeting or providing more information. During the conversation, if the AI detects that the conversation is heading in a direction that it is not suited to handle, then it can bring a human into the loop (via some notification on Slack, email, omni-channel communication platform, etc). We don't necessarily use the AI to perform the actual sale -- it's primarily for data collection and automating various manual processes that are necessary before a human needs to step in to close the final sale.

Over the past year, we've engaged extensively with marketing and sales professionals from startups, agencies, and enterprises. Through these conversations, we've identified several key issues related to increased ad spend. Here's a few notable examples: - Low Calendar Booking Rates: Despite many people filling out our forms, they often fail to book a time on the calendar, resulting in missed opportunities. - High Volume of Junk/Invalid Responses: Our Salesforce and HubSpot forms are frequently inundated with junk or invalid responses, causing delays and inefficiencies. - Unsatisfactory Conversion Rates: We are not satisfied with our current conversion rates and see substantial room for improvement. We believe Surface can help businesses confidently manage their ad spend by addressing these problems and many others!
