Great video - I love the "coffee shop" analogy and all the thoughtful productivity features, like phone lock! Curious: What's the refresh rate on coworking videos - is it a frame every 3-5 seconds? What kind of feedback have you gotten on that? It reminds me of @sqwiggle cc @tommoor
Steven Puri
@sqwiggle @tommoor @rajiv_ayyangar Hey, Rajiv - Thanks for asking. We experimented with a lot of refresh rates (and even live video) to tune this. We settled on a 10-second refresh rate which gave the warm feeling of "presence of your team" but very little "distraction of wanting to watch a live feed." Once we arrived there (with a lot of vocal feedback from members :), our UI has settled nicely. And let me say the obvious: all of these products are works-in-progress and I'll know we'll continue to tune and iterate with our community as we...and the world...evolves.

Congratulations with your launch Steven and Sukha Team. I’ve enjoyed our in-depth brainstorm sessions in the past together with Michael. And now you’ve all come so far. Happiness starts from within and now it’s time to bring the Sukha genie out of the bottle. I-VAL-U πŸ™πŸ½

Congrats on the launch! The integration of productivity features with the concept of social facilitation is a brilliant way to boost motivation and performance. I’m genuinely impressed by how you've combined focus tools with a community-driven approach. Kudos to your team for creating such a thoughtful and impactful tool!

Saw this app through an ad, gotta say I struggle to see how co-working online beats the distractions at home, any plans on adding features to make it feel more like an actual office environment?
Steven Puri
@carceolicious Hey, Sam - I think the proof is in the pudding. No amount of marketing prose that I wrote can supplant the feeling you will get. If you really want your answer, I'd suggest that you choose a task that will take you 30+ minutes and dive into Sukha to get it done. The feeling when you look up at the end is magical. And also - to test this for veracity...is completely free. Yep. I look forward to your astute analysis! - Steven

Sukha sounds like an amazing solution for remote workers! Combining focus tools with a supportive community is such a brilliant idea, especially considering the challenges of distraction and loneliness. The integration of Social Facilitation Theory to enhance productivity is fascinating and definitely resonates with the way teams like Nike Run Clubs and Navy SEALS operate. Congrats on the initial success! πŸŽ‰ Can you share any interesting insights or user stories from your first 1,000 members? Also, are there any upcoming features or community events we should look forward to? Can't wait to see how Sukha evolves! πŸš€ @steven_puri

@tony_creator Hey, Tony - Actually two of the most interested learnings were that some of our members were so deeply in their flow state that they missed meetings. We solved this by allowing you to connect your Gcal and that way a voice prompt will tell you when you have a meeting in 5 minutes (so you can prep). Another was that live video is too distracting. We tried to do what many apps do (most apps are just a Zoom room that they charge for) and the reality is that "presence" is better when it's just 5-10x/minute not live. Tuning these really helped our UX. We're at 96% MoM paid retention now! Thanks for asking. - Steven
