Are you interested in the ancient world and want to learn more about it? ScholaLatinae, created in 2022, is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization seeking to promote Classical education and help make it accessible for all. Everything on the website is free and will always continue to be. Resources in the website include Classics-related study-guides & textbooks, video lessons ranging from basic Latin Grammar & Proto-Italic languages to Greco-Roman Mythology & History, practice questions with an automatically updating leaderboard, and games such as a Classical GeoGuessr map. Take a look at the website here: https://scholalatinae.com Let me know if you have any feedback!

This is an amazing initiative, @biyabrook! Classical education should be accessible to everyone, and I love that you're offering all these resources for free. The blend of video lessons and games like GeoGuessr is such a fun way to engage with the ancient world. Can't wait to dive into the material! Upvote for making learning about Latin, Greek, and Mythology so enjoyable!

Looks interesting, but how advanced is the content, will it appeal only to beginners or does it also cater to those with previous knowledge, also it might be worth considering more interactive features beyond videos and games to keep users engaged long term, hope this helps

I've always wondered about these "fun" learning tools, while it's cool to find resources for Latin and Greek without paying, I feel like these extras like videos and games can sometimes distract more than help, I mean GeoGuessr map, really? Would love to see a deeper focus on solid study materials and structured lessons cuz sometimes it just feels all over the place, thoughts?

@addreamer23 Thanks for the feedback. I agree that any business model should have one main feature that brings people in. As this is a free website, my process of building this was to include many different ways that people can engage with the Classics. Almost all of the users are students learning Latin or Greek at school. It is not meant to completely replace formal education, but rather supplement it. Structured lessons are a great idea though that I can implement further down the line.

Hey, saw this new tool for learning Latin and Greek, it seems promising but I'm wondering how it stands against more established apps like Duolingo and Memrise, honestly, the idea of including games like GeoGuessr is interesting, but will it be enough to keep people engaged over time, also the content is free that’s nice, but how do they plan to keep it updated and accurate, maybe adding more interactive features or live tutoring sessions could really take it to the next level, what do you think about handling the balance between education and entertainment in language learning apps
Biya Brook
@estarceo More interactive features is always a good idea! I think entertainment is necessary in this day and age, but it should not distract from the main goal of learning and enriching yourself. I love Duolingo but I see why people have issues with the extreme gamification it has.

I like the quiz feature! Wish I had this when I learned both latin and ancient greek at school 😅
Biya Brook
@annedevj Haha thanks, it's definitely the most liked feature so far

Loving the concept of ScholaLatinae, @biyabrook! The free access to a wealth of classical education resources is commendable. The practice questions and leaderboard add a competitive edge to learning. Any thoughts on incorporating a community forum for learners to discuss and share knowledge?
