This is the first workflow automation tool I have tried to use in a few years, and I will never leave it. If you are not a terribly technical person but generally understand how automation and AI works, you'll have you're first workflow and full-blown agent up in no time with Relay.app! The embedded AI agent that literally builds other agents for you (or just helps) is absolutely genius. And the UI is super intuitive. Great product, Jacob!

vs Alternatives

I didn't really research before I started using it, just wanted to play around. But then I started seeing other folks in my circles trying to implement flows with n8n, and I literally saw them writing/reading code (or what looked like it). This told me I made the right choice.

How well does human-in-the-loop approval work in practice?

The AI agents helps you build your flows and asks for your approval before it implements. In some cases, the agent does not have rights to execute certain tasks - in these cases, it gives you step-by-step instructions for what to do.

What AI features are most useful day-to-day?

The AI agent that helps you build your agents/flows.

How does it handle PII and data retention policies?

I honestly am not totally sure, have not reviewed, only using this in my personal life so far.

...oh, and the team has worked with any challenges I brought to it as I have been moving my whole tech stack over... automation are happening! Their response time has been INCREDIBLE!

Relay.app is, for me, the best automation tool for Notion users. It stands out immediately because of its intuitive interface. The connection with Notion is seamless, which has been a total game-changer for our workflows.

What I appreciate most is the transparency. In other tools, troubleshooting is a nightmare, but here you aren't left guessing. If an error occurs, the system provides clear details on exactly what failed, allowing for immediate fixes.

It came down to speed and simplicity. Relay is much more intuitive; it feels like it’s designed to help you build, not to make things more complicated.

How fast is support response and issue resolution?

Support is great. The first time I had a technical issue, they didn't just send me a help link, I got real technical help. They did a thorough follow-up to make sure everything was working perfectly before closing the case. It’s rare to find a team that stays on top of things like that.

Cost and ease of use. It does not charge higher fees for connecting to enterprise systems like Salesforce. Most other tools charge more for connecting to "enterprise" systems like Netsuite or Salesforce.

I've been using Relay for over 6 months now and really pleased with the experience. I chose it over other similar apps because it offered the integrations I wanted and was much easier to get working. On top of that, the support from the Relay team has been great,

So easy to use and very capable; it saves me a good few hours every week be eliminating a handful of my more repetitive tasks.

What needs improvement

More integrations please :)

I chose it because I could spin up automations really quickly, with low maintenance overhead.

yeah there are but it's not crazy expensive (though perhaps more so than n8n or make.com

Love how it can do all the things you would write a computer program to do, but all with a user-friendly interface, error logging, and integrations to the best tools

What needs improvement

It's easy to burn through AI credits if you accidentally do too big of a run. It would be good to have a playground or test environment to see what all of your data looks like before sending it off to the LLM to return a bunch of garbage.

Congrats @jebank on the launch. I have enjoyed using relay.app for the past few months, and working with the incredible team. As a startup founder, I love that I can use Relay as soon as I have the beginnings of a process that is repetitive, even if it's not fully formed. The human-in-the-loop functionality means I can build playbooks as I go, giving me the flexibility I need for constant improvement, and the ability to automate early. I also really appreciate the response time to bugs and feature requests, and I cant wait to integrate relay.app into more parts of my company workflows.
