@chrismessina I am a seller on amazon myself and know where margins are cut and which fees are applied.
Production costs are based on supplier data we pull from alibaba so not 100% accurate. It should be good enough to give a rough estimate though.

@ivan_batanov1 got it — super interesting! I just tested it out and WOW... I just paid 20x over the purchase price from a Chinese supplier on Alibaba. ☠️
What's your experience buying from Alibaba? How are tariffs effecting your calculation?

@chrismessina Most of the products you buy on Amazon are coming from chinese suppliers, so the product will have similar quality.
Though shorter shipping time, having the an option to refund and or contact customer support is justifying prices on Amazon in my opinion.
This is where marginof can actually reveal how much of a margin sellers take on Amazon and help you decide between products. (it works the best with private sellers on Amazon)
