What do you think? …

Robin Lutz
Hey Product Hunt 🖖🏼, Infinity Maps technical Co-founder here. I also wanted to share some technical side notes with you ⛰️ Infinity Maps can get really big. The biggest maps currently have between 5k to 10k cards. 🔍 You might find it out by yourself, so I prefer to admit it: Infinity Maps are not infinite just yet, but we’re getting there. Current zoom factor 1:100 000 000 000* (Popular competitor: 1:400). ⚡ Infinity Maps is the first productivity tool with a fps counter, build on a game framework with webGL. 🌲 Infinity Maps are technically seen trees, thus you can export them as JSON (and soon as YAML, Markdown, etc.) 🙌 Share is caring. And with Infinity Maps we support various possibilities to share your ideas (public, unlisted) or collaborate on them (read, write, cursor sharing, and waaaay more to come). *we’re not even kidding, if you were printing out our largest Infinity Map, you’d end up with 159 Billion sheets of paper. PS: our UX concepts are very complicated because we are three things: 1. like a text editor on data input 2. like Powerpoint on data structuring 3. like maps on navigating and browsing any feedback regarding the current concepts and ideas to improve them are highly welcomed!
Nadiia Shevelieva
@robin_lutz Congrats team! Please don't let people print out your largest Infinity Map, the Earth still needs trees 😄
Robin Lutz
@n_shevelieva as the biggest letters on the highest level would surpass the size of the earth I think the chance are low, but I will make sure my mother will not use our tool, just in case ;-) #otherGeneration
Pablo Fatas
Love the video! Looks great. Curious though, why limit to this card format and not give the option of a more free mindmap feel?
Johannes Grenzemann
@pablo_fatas Hi Pablo, so what would you suggest to achieve this?
Pablo Fatas
@jgrenzemann I am just wondering why I am forced to have these frames? Could I not just drag and drop assets wherever I want without being in a card?
Johannes Grenzemann
@pablo_fatas Hey Pablo, thank you for asking 🙂 No in fact thats not so easy... Infinity Maps are some kind of "visual trees" and every card is a node. So it's not just assets on a whiteboard. BUT if you change the color of an card to transparent, you can get this effect that it at least looks like a free floating asset... Would that be a solution?
Pablo Fatas
@jgrenzemann This makes sense. The transpararent hack is good enough im sure. I thought it might be a techincal thing but was just checking if it was a choice of some kind :) Overall, looks great I will definitely give it a try. Thanks for the quick replies.
Johannes Grenzemann
@pablo_fatas thx a lot for the feedback Pablo & the good exchange 🙏😸
Johannes Grenzemann
Hi Product Hunters 👋 I’m Johannes, CEO & Co-founder of Infinity Maps. We are over the 🌑 (pun intended) to share our web-app for knowledge management with you. 💥 Growing complexity and scattered knowledge pose an increasing challenge, and our brains aren’t meant to handle todays information overload. But visual perception and our sense of space can help us. Our goal with Infinity Maps is to develop a knowledge tool that taps into these idle resources so you can understand complex topics more easily, manage big projects in a more structured way, and present them with ease. 👩‍💻 For the 1.0 release we have implemented a tool that has the simple interaction design of a notepad, is structured like a mindmap, spatial like a whiteboard, scalable like a wiki, interconnected like a graph, easy-to-present like a ppt, fast as a video game, and realtime collaborative. 🕹️Wanna try it out? Have a look at our public maps (read only) https://app.infinitymaps.io/maps... (read only) https://app.infinitymaps.io/maps... (writable) https://app.infinitymaps.io/maps... Thanks for the up-vote and, Happy visual thinking & creating ✊ PS: We’re excited to hear your feedback! How will you use ♾maps? & what are u missing? Show me what you got👇 (big 🎁+🍌; 3🏆by 🔼)
Nihal Bhushan
@jgrenzemann Amazing Looks so intricate and beautiful!
Johannes Grenzemann
@nihalbhushan thank you very much Nihal :)
Vivek Rp
@jgrenzemann Getting error with the 2 month free promo code.
Johannes Grenzemann
@vivekrp Hi Vivek, the promo code originally was limited to the launch day - but we've extended it for the PH community for a few more days 😊 Please try again!
Vivek Rp
@jgrenzemann Thanks for extending the offer. But I don't see monthly pro option in the store, only annual pro offer or unlimited annual/monthly offer.
Max Völkel
To win against complexity, you need a scalable tool. There are few, but Infinity Maps is one of them.
Heiko Haller
@xam_de When it comes to deep hierarchies, I guess Infinity Maps ist first. Has anyone got to the limit yet?
Felicitas Hilge
@xam_de Thank you for your comment. Would love to learn abou your experience with other complexity tools in comparison to Infinity Maps, if you have tried it yet?
Max Völkel
@felicitashilge wikis in general also scale, but they require a lot of manual work to maintain an overview.
Felicitas Hilge
@xam_de Thanks for elaborating, yeah, they sure do
Volker Mnich
I've known the app for a while. It's a great product, it's effective, it's tidy, and it's even fun.
Felicitas Hilge
@volker_mnich Thank you so much, Volker. Yay, we think it's fun, too ;)
Johannes Grenzemann
@volker_mnich Thank you very much Volker 🙏
Robin Lutz
@volker_mnich Did you check the latest version, where resize will auto grow parents and move sibligs away? It's REALY fun now 😀
Bahaa Mahagne
@volker_mnich Thank you very much Volker
Bertie IP
Looks great - I've used similar functionality for Prezi and I find it works really well to tell a story. Excited to try it out! Also, A+++ on the video - a lot of fun, but also pretty informative 👏 Congratulations on the launch, @jgrenzemann 🚀
Johannes Grenzemann
@bertie Thank for your comment Bertie 😃 And yeah sure you can use Infy for visual storytelling (which is my favorite hobby as "Hustler in Chief" 😅) - or to directly present knowledge/models out of your visual knowledge base.
Bertie IP
@jgrenzemann endless possibility with Infy! Excited to see what comes next!
Heiko Haller
@bertie Yes, presentations done in Infinity Maps are usually very well received. Plus: you can dive in to interactive workshops right in there.
Daniel Breucker
As an early user, I really love to see your progress here. Great job and congrats @heikohaller !
Heiko Haller
@daniel_breucker Thanks! Yes, it's been quite a way, getting from iMapping to Infinity Maps. But we are finally there.
Abderisak
@heikohaller @daniel_breucker So Infinity Maps is like "Miro and Notion had a baby", and Mooncamp is like "Notion and OKRs had a baby". Is everyone having a baby with Notion? Should I be getting in on this action lol 😃 All jokes aside, looks like well-designed products 👍
Johannes Grenzemann
@heikohaller @daniel_breucker @avidnote Thank you Abderisak :) And yeah, it seems that everybody wants to have Babys with notion. Sexy Notion 😻 PS: Avidnote looks very interesting 👍
