I like the concept and using mighty networks is perfect, but given the description I was expecting it to be more of a place to validate serious ideas that people are thinking of actually working on. And to have deep discussions about that idea, find the holes, improve upon it etc. What I found was more of a wall of random ideas that people don't really intend to work on and are just throwing out there for fun. Maybe it will be a more helpful environment once it's more established? Best of luck, I hope it matures and becomes a truly useful community.
@f_graciolli Really appreciate that feedback. I agree that right now it's more of a place to share fun ideas but even the fun ideas can plant a seed to grow into something bigger. I'm building out other sections within the community for members to talk more in-depth about there ideas - find the holes, improve upon etc :D

Iβve longed for something like this for a while but I was disappointed by the onboarding process. Having no free plan and making the free trial dependent on adding card details feels like an unnecessary barrier at such an early stage. I quit the process once I realised card details were required
@luke_allan1 Hey Luke, apologies that you had a negative experience. I built IdeasDrop using MightyNetworks platform and unfortunately the onboarding/ payment process is something I don't have any control over. No money will be taken off your card til after the trial period, that I can guarantee.

@delahuntagram youβre doing a great job of responding to feedback and if the current onboarding experience is a limitation of the platform youβre using as a POC, thatβs very understandable. Itβs a shame because I wonder how much more feedback you could be gathering
This is definitely an awesome approach to validating ideas. I have two questions though... 1. How are you going to prevent groupthink, and 2. Is it a 7-day or 3-day free trial? It would also be nice to try the product without using a credit card.
@yashodan_govender Hey Yashodan, thanks for the great questions.
1 - My members all come from a diverse background - tech, finance, fitness, education which will bring different opinions and feedback when it comes to ideas.
2- It's a 3 day free trial. I built IdeasDrop using MightyNetworks platform and unfortunately the onboarding/ payment process is something I don't have any control over. No money will be taken off your card til after the trial period, that I can guarantee.
Thanks for sharing Maxim. Was hoping to share IdeasDrop in a few weeks when it was a little bit more established but here we are. Like Maxim said it will be a place to "get the creative juices flowing!". I built IdeasDrop as I felt there was a space for a social community to share and validate their ideas. It will also be a place to build relationships and maybe even form teams to build out your ideas.
One thing that confused me is that, when I click membership plan, it looks like random somebody from the community started a "group", doesn't look like an official thing. Further look shows that the hosts are the founder of the website. So it's a little bit weird.
Overall, nice idea, I like it!
