Hubble

NLP powered queries for MongoDB Atlas.

Hubble turns your MongoDB cluster into a data observatory. Ask questions in plain English, visualize patterns, inspect collections, detect anomalies — all without touching MongoDB’s query syntax. A new way to see your data.

Hey everyone — David here 👋 Hubble started from a very personal pain point. I was working with MongoDB, and every time I needed a simple answer — “How many users signed up today?” “Which records look suspicious?” “What’s the breakdown by region?” — the answers were buried under layers of syntax, connection strings, roles, database configurations, and collection structures. It felt like I was fighting the database instead of understanding my data. To unblock myself, I hacked together a tiny Python script just to get some visibility into production data. Nothing fancy — just enough to see what was going on. But as I kept iterating, refining, and adding small features, something clicked: What if the database could simply talk back? What if I didn’t have to write queries at all? So I added natural-language support. Then visualization. Then anomaly checks. And suddenly, this little script started turning into something much bigger — something I realized other developers probably needed just as much as I did. That’s when Hubble was born. Most developers don’t struggle because they lack skill — they struggle because the learning curve, tooling overhead, and cognitive friction get in the way of real understanding. Hubble aims to remove that overhead and let people dive straight into the data. This Beta is just the beginning — early, raw, and developer-first by design. If you try it and share feedback, you’ll directly shape what Hubble becomes from here. Thanks for being part of this journey.

Thanks for the update—continuous upgrades to the NLP engine sound promising.

I have a small idea related to making trend detection even clearer that you could try on your own.

If you're open to a suggestion, what's the best way to share it?

David Smith

@olajiggy321 The best way is to use the feedback system from within hubble.

David, turning natural language into MongoDB insights is a huge time‑saver for developers. Does Hubble also visualize trends over time, or is it mostly for snapshot queries?

@olajiggy321 We are constantly upgrading the NLP engine behind Hubble. It should work for trends.
