What do you think? …

Hi everyone! About a year ago I was a project manager in an industrial online media in which web developers were working remotely (I think many people are familiar with this situation). Since the team was small, we didn't have a QA and the testing was my duty. As a person who wants to point on the screen and accompany it with a couple of words, I was exhausted of taking screenshots or screencasts for each edit, describe the problem, put the task in Trello or send it to the chat. Then it became interesting to me what methods of setting tasks other project/product managers use. Everyone with whom I asked “how do you set tasks for remote developers” answered that their tools are the same: screenshots, chats, e-mail and task trackers. When asked about convenience, a lot said that “they’re already used to it” and “how else can I do it?” We have been using Invision, Figma, MarvelApp or Zeplin with the designers for a long time and it was incredibly convenient: I clicked on the screen - left a comment - the designer saw and marked it as done - that's all! No screenshots, chats and task trackers - only the team and the interface itself. As a result, having discussed the idea with my friend, who shared my pain, we decided to try to implement an extension that allows you to leave comments directly on the page. So we got a pet-project, which we did more for ourselves to make it more comfortable to work. Gradually, lots of our friends from the IT who found out about this idea asked us to give access to them as well. In the end, we made an extension Frontosaur - a service that allows you to mark an element on a ready interface, write a comment and wow! - other team members will see it in their browser. There can be few projects which is necessary for freelancers and managers conducting several projects at once.
