Hello again, friends ๐
If you're into domain names and have a tough time managing your portfolio, or a spreadsheet isn't cutting it, check out the MVP version of Domain Copilot that allows you to stay on top of expiration dates and other important information.
Receive push notifications when your names are about to expire so you can either renew, drop, or transfer them to a different registrar to save $$$.
On top of that, you can track domains that you *want* for your portfolio for your next app idea or business venture.
@gabe Thanks Gabe, I was having some issues with the App Store this morning but was able to get it published now. Give it another shot if you can! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/do...
I appreciate the support ๐
@timwheeler got it downloaded and love it for what it is! Coupe feedback points if youโll take them.
Only allowing 1 domain before paid is super limiting and I donโt think does the tool and what I can do justice for folks who might upgrade. Iโd recommend doing 3 max for free tier - power users with multiple domains would pay.
I wish we could log in with our registrar and pull in the info that way, would be cool!
Thereโs a grey dot underneath- not sure if itโs a status indicator but green = owned and fine, yellow = upcoming expiration date, purple = available, and red = expired for those that you own(ed) would be awesome.
Cheers and congrats again on the launch!
@gabe this is great feedback! regarding the domain limit, this was a configuration issue I left in by mistake when I was testing so thanks for calling that out. I just swapped it back to 10 domains which I think is reasonable.
In a previous project, using any registrar API keys was high-risk to the user because the API keys had access to transfer domains. Maybe there is a simpler way to accomplish this? Regardless I am planning on adding a domain import feature, which will allow for CSV import.
Regarding the domain status colors, I still need to explore that a bit more to make it clear to the user what each one means.
Thanks for the great feedback Gabe!
I am not sure if this is a good use case for an application. I mean I would only install an application that I use every day to take control of domains, not really a user case that many users will use every day (in my opinion).I manage right now all domains over Airtable
@sgroiga appreciate the feedback Gabriel! Every domain tool I've ever used is tailored for desktop. I think the mobile form factor is a differentiator. Airtable mobile app for viewing portfolio would work, but I think it will miss out on things like push notifications for expirations, domain price drops, status changes, etc.
This is an MVP so there's only push notifications for expirations, but there are a number of features I want to add just for myself as I have a hard enough time staying on top of my 250 domain names.
