Hello PH friends! 👊 First of all, thanks to @benln for hunting us! We wouldn't have been able to make it all the way here without his help. We're psyched to be here. 🙋🏻‍♂️ I'm 25 and I made most of my friends online. After getting a new job the part that sucks the most is having to make friends from scratch. When you don't know anyone you can feel lost very easily – not having a strong support network was what made me drop out of my first college, and I'm sure it is what make many people feel like they don't belong at work. 🚫 The tools that are traditionally given to employees to solve this don't work... random Slack channels where the only people who engage are always the same 2 or 3. Or random, automated coffee-chat prompts that always get ignored. Let's be honest, they both are so lame and we need a way to connect with our teammates that minimizes awkwardness. 💙 We think companies don't have the right tools to empower their employees to form these connections by themselves organically and authentically so we decided to create THE one tool that is going to help every employee find a home at work. 👅 Culturelike is about networking, discovering the interests you share with others and interacting in real-time and you can do all of this right from Slack. The point is for employees to have a place where they are in control, where casual conversations can happen and where they can learn from each other. 💬 Culturelike helps you find people in your team who are interested in the same things as you to invite to casual talks and find times that work for all the people you invite through Google Calendar. 🎂 It helps you celebrate birthdays in a professional, yet incredibly humane way with birthday threads. Warning: If it's your birthday, it's gonna make you shed tears of joy. 🔥 It helps you celebrate the accomplishments of your team and give them the spotlight for a day so that everyone can join the celebration. Bye, bye boring LinkedIn kudos posts that only get noticed by your manager and yourself. 🎁 PH DEAL: We're a 100% self-funded business. However, to show our gratitude to the PH community, we're offering a once-in-a-lifetime deal of 2 seats for the price of one, forever, FOR THE FIRST 30 DOWNLOADS. To get access: 1. Go to [culturelike.io](http://culturelike.io) and click on "Get it now" 2. Apply: 2FOR1MEOW 3. And make sure to do so by Jun 7th –23:59 (EST). Hurry up as the deadline is set to expire automatically! 🤗 Please leave feedback and thanks for checking us out! 🙌
Eugene Hauptmann
@benln @aldo_silva Congrats! Looks like an early automation of the PeopleOps :)
Aldo Silva
@eugenehp Thanks a lot Eugene! Appreciate your support! One of our goals is definitely ease off the load on People Ops teams so that they can spend more time providing meaningful support to employees instead of on repetitive tasks!
Ken Moo
Cool stuff. This will lighten up the atmosphere in Slack.
Aldo Silva
@ken_moo That's definitely what we're going for, Ken! Everything there's on Slack right now feels so artificial. For one, you can't even see at a glance all the people on your workspace, let alone find out what common interests you might have! Thanks for your comment :)
Girdharee Saran
Such a time saver. Thank you for creating this helpful resource.
Aldo Silva
@giri Thanks Girdharee!
Arkalyk Akash
Great way of automating team bonding!
Aldo Silva
@arkalyk_akash Thanks for your feedback Arkalyk! Our main goal is to empower individuals to create the connections they need to suceed at work!
Andrew Zhou
Congratulations on the launch! Curious how your pilots have gone so far?
Aldo Silva
@andrewthezhou Thanks for the support Andrew! Actually Culturelike originally provided team members with all sorts of activities, we had teams piloting it in Toronto and NYC. We discovered teams mostly were using it for interest discoverability and to have casual chats so we decided to focus on those!
