Been building with Claude's streaming API (SSE on Edge Runtime) for the past few weeks. The jump from Sonnet to Opus for agentic tasks is noticeable — especially the planning and reasoning over large codebases. The 1M token context window is a game changer for working with full project contexts. Excited to see where agent teams go.
I used it yesterday, The speed and how it reasons is another level I felt. Also the agent team capability is so powerful that I cannot actually put it in words. I used it to make a model on top of my declarative language for cyber risk.

Helped me debug a problem I've been stuck for three days in just 15 mins ahhhh! It then explained everything that went wrong too. Super cool and helpful imo.

Already maxed out my limits with Opus 4.6 several times :D

New AI models pop up every week. Some developer tools like @Cursor, @Zed, and @Kilo Code let you choose between different models, while more opinionated products like @Amp and @Tonkotsu default to 1 model.
Curious what the community recommends for coding tasks? Any preferences?
Claude just launched Claude Opus 4.6 . This is Claude s newest and most capable model so far. It s designed for deep reasoning, long-running agent workflows, and large codebases, with a 1M token context window in beta and stronger planning and code understanding.
Claude by Anthropic draws strong praise for reasoning, coding, and long-context work, with many switching from rivals for more precise, human-like responses. Maker feedback is especially enthusiastic: the makers of
highlight reliable tool use via MCP across thousands of actions. Common wishes: fewer message limits, smoother artifacts/UX on desktop, and steadier revision behavior. Overall: reliable, thoughtful, and superb for code.
As a software developer, I've had the opportunity to work with various AI assistants, and I must say that Claude by Anthropic stands out from the crowd. While my opinion may be slightly biased due to my background, I believe Claude deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its impressive capabilities.
Claude outperforms other leading AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Llama 3.1 in several key areas . Its human-like responses and exceptional coding capabilities are particularly noteworthy . The way Claude understands context and generates code is truly remarkable.
However, there are a couple of areas where Claude could improve. The pricing of its API can be a limitation for developers who want to use it extensively for coding purposes . This may hinder its widespread adoption in the programming community. Additionally, while Claude's context window of 200k tokens is substantial, it's worth noting that Gemini can handle up to 2M tokens , which could be advantageous in certain scenarios.
While there is room for improvement in terms of pricing and token capacity, its overall performance and ethical standards make it a strong contender in the market. I'm excited to see how Anthropic continues to enhance Claude's capabilities in the future.

Claude was the unsung hero behind much of Params Editor's core functionality. With its direct implementation style and practical approach to problem-solving, Claude handled the majority of feature development with remarkable efficiency. One of the most pleasant surprises came when Claude accidentally implemented hot reloading while setting up the development environment—a feature I hadn't even requested but that saved countless hours during development! When other AI assistance reached its limits, Claude consistently stepped in to maintain development momentum, demonstrating an impressive ability to understand the project's vision and translate it into functional code.
