πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ 6 Months ago I started working on this idea to enable anyone to turn their data pipeline into something useful for monitoring & alerting. Many organizations have amazing pipelines and warehouses, but it takes hours or days for the data to be useful. This makes it impossible to use for alerting & debugging especially during incidents. The relationship between events and observability isn't strong enough! Let me give you an example: Your product fires off a wide variety of events, some behavioral, some diagnostic. When you have a spike in an error-indicating event, you want to dig in immediately. It's a client-side issue, exhibited by user-behavior. What do you do? Most teams don't have access to their analytics data directly. It may go a few days unnoticed or if you're really on top of it, you'll have an ETL finish in a few hours that maybe brings it to your attention. With Aggregations.io you can set up easy and simple filters and use our Grafana plugin to monitor and alert on them for free. But that's just the beginning. Since these are the EXACT SAME analytics events that flow to your warehouse - you can get digging. Examine what other events are firing before/after the errors. Correlate with regional issues, you don't have to think about where in the code some counter fires and try and guess its relation back to events. You can use them directly. Debugging and alerting is just one of many reasons to put your analytics to work in real time. I'd love any feedback or thoughts you have!

@jsneedles The ability to seamlessly monitor, alert, and debug using analytics events is a brilliant solution. Looking forward to seeing how it transforms the observability landscape! Congratulations on the launch!

@codewithimanshu it can work pretty much anywhere you can POST events from. It’s definitely easiest using existing pipelines though. See the docs on ingesting data: https://aggregations.io/docs/ing... For visualization, i highly recommend the Grafana plugin. We’re working on some other options but it’s the best. If you have a visualization tool you’d like to see integrated, let us know!

@jsneedles Congratulations on the launch. Six months is a good timeframe for a mature product. I'll look into it. Best of luck!

We built an internal tool at Epic Games similar to aggregations.io. Every engineer who found out about it immediately migrated to use it. When you are a data engineer working at a large scale b2c - you spend too many precious minutes building and iterating over aggregations. Exciting to see this concept productionalized. Good Luck!
