8udget is a personal finance app that actually works offline - no internet required. Track your budget with category breakdowns, monitor stock & crypto investments in real-time, manage recurring bills with reminders, and set financial goals with progress tracking. Unlike other finance apps, your data stays on your device by default. Import messy bank statements with 80-90% accuracy. Available on iOS, Android, Web, Mac - all from one codebase built with Flutter + Rust. Free to start.

Love the offline-first approach! π± No internet required is a huge win for privacy and speed. A friend of mine is actually building a similar tool focused specifically on the FIRE movement . How does 8udget handle long-term projections or investment tracking for users aiming for FIRE? Upvoted!

@yahaha66Β Thanks for the upvote! On the FIRE side, we do have investment portfolio tracking and net worth monitoring which helps with tracking progress toward FI. Long-term projections aren't available yet, but it's something I'm considering. What would be most useful for you - a years-to-FI calculator, projection charts, or something else?
@atzr95Β Projection charts would be my pick! π To make them truly stand out, Iβd love to see a way to account for rising insurance premiums.
Most finance apps ignore that insurance isn't a fixed costβit gets much more expensive the closer we get to retirement. A feature that allows us to model these 'age-based' expense hikes would provide a much more realistic path to FI. Looking forward to seeing where you take this!
Great product, and congrats on the launch!
Out of curiosity - outside of receipt and bank statement scanning, how do you plan on differentiating from a Wealthfront or a Rocket Money?
Personally, love the consumer financial management space. Financial literacy has the chance to finally grow exponentially as we unwind overly complex front end systems and workflows with more centralized applications for personal financial management. Kudos on the build and PH launch - can tell a lot of work went into it.

@patrickcaulfieldThanks, really appreciate the kind words!
Honestly, the main differentiator is availability - Wealthfront and Rocket Money require you to be a US resident. I'm not in the US so those tools aren't even available to me. I wanted to build something with budgeting, investment tracking, and net worth monitoring that works for everyone, not just Americans.
@atzr95Β Woohoo! Good luck
Looking forward to using it. This checks all the boxes of things i also was not a fan of regarding finance apps.
