It Works - An awareness tool disguised as an income tracker

It's Christmas. You're probably supposed to be doing something else right now.

And yet here we are. Both of us. You reading Product Hunt, me posting on it.

I built a thing. It's called It Works (itworks.now).

The story

A year and a half ago I found a 28-page book from 1926 that sold 1.5 million copies.

The book is called "It Works: The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True!" and it costs $4.

The entire method fits on one page:

1. Write what you want

2. Read it 3x daily

3. Tell no one

Sounds like manifestation woo-woo, right? Except... it kept working. Things on my list kept showing up.

I was already tracking every payment that hit my account. Not for accounting. Just to see patterns, to keep my attention pointing in the right direction. Which months are strong. Where growth actually comes from.

Then it clicked: what if I combined them?

The List = what you want
The Money Map = evidence it's arriving

What I built

A simple web-app where you:

• Write your intentions (The List)

• Log income when it arrives (The Money Map)

• Watch your "activity rings" fill up — like Apple fitness rings, but for money

This year: +55% YoY.

December alone: +151.9% vs last year.

I didn't work more hours. I just got clearer on what I wanted and paid attention when evidence showed up.

The vibecoding part

Built this as a solo founder.
Tech stack: SvelteKit, Supabase (auth + database), Vercel. Built mostly with Claude and Cursor doing the heavy lifting while I focus on what it should feel like.

Just iterating on something I wanted to use myself.

Most of my best work happens when I stop thinking and start building.

The whole thing is free:

• Unlimited intentions

• Unlimited income tracking

• Activity rings

• 30 days of history

Premium exists for pattern nerds who want full history. Most people won't need it.

The honest question

I could have:

• Packaged this as a $497 masterclass

• Waited until my revised book version is done

• Fixed all the bugs first

• Built up traction before showing anyone

But building in public means shipping fast. Even on Christmas day.

So here's my question:

Should I do a proper Product Hunt launch now? Or wait until I have more users, fewer bugs, and a shinier landing page?

I genuinely don't know the right move. What would you do?
