Anyone else here using Pencil.dev?

I’ve been using Pencil.dev for a few days and honestly it’s a big paradigm shift for how fast you can explore UI. I'm loving it!!

One thing I bumped into: I still need to move some screens into Figma to polish details, collaborate, and keep everything in the same place as the rest of our design work.

So I built a tiny plugin that exports Pencil.dev screens into an editable Figma file (layers intact, Auto Layout, editable SVG icons...).

How are you handling the Pencil→ Figma step today? Or you don't need it...

If you want to try it, just ask me!

This makes a ton of sense. Pencil is amazing for speed, but Figma is still where things actually get finalized and shared.

Right now most people I know either redo screens manually in Figma or accept a messy import and clean it up later — both are pretty painful. An export that keeps layers and Auto Layout intact sounds like exactly the missing bridge.

Curious how robust it is on more complex screens, but yeah… this feels like something a lot of teams would immediately want.

@alpertayfurr Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback, really appreciate it.

Good news: the plugin has been reviewed and is now live on the Figma Community, so you can try it here: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1601664618009066049/pencil-dev-to-figma

If you give it a spin, any feedback (especially on more complex screens) would be super welcome.
