I'm Bill, founder of Volvox LLC and the maker behind Decision Jar.

The origin story is embarrassingly relatable: my partner and I would spend more time choosing a movie than actually watching it. I have ADHD, and decision fatigue hits different when your brain treats every choice like it's life-or-death.

So I built Decision Jar — not as a novelty, but as a genuine tool for people who get stuck in choice paralysis. The shake mechanic isn't just a gimmick; the physical action of shaking your phone creates a commitment moment that breaks the overthinking loop.

A few things I'm proud of:

• The app is 100% local-first. Your decisions are your business — no accounts, no tracking, no cloud sync. It works offline because your lunch choice shouldn't require an internet connection.

• AI suggestions genuinely save time. Instead of staring at an empty jar wondering what your options even are, the AI fills it for you based on context.

• The gamification (streaks, achievements, stats) sounds silly until you realize it's training your brain to decide faster over time. That's real behavioral design, not just badges.

I built this with Expo/React Native, so it's truly cross-platform from a single codebase — iOS, Android, and web.
