An AI therapist helped me make the hardest relationship decision - would you use one?

Six months ago, I was stuck in a relationship that looked “good on paper.”

My partner was loving and kind… but my feelings were gone.

I didn’t want to hurt her.
But staying was hurting me.

When I felt overwhelmed, I opened Lovon (an AI therapy app we’re building) and talked it out by voice. One thing it helped me do early on: don’t make a breakup decision in panic.

A month passed. Nothing changed. I still felt empty. Still stuck.

Then Lovon asked me a question that landed way too hard:

“Knowing everything you’ve lived through with this person… would you choose it again?”

My answer came instantly: No.
And that “No” was the truth I’d been avoiding.

Lovon didn’t “decide” for me.
It helped me slow down, structure my thoughts, and face reality - without feeling alone.

That’s the problem we’re trying to solve:
a private, voice-first space to process heavy emotions and make sense of your thoughts when it’s 2 a.m. and your brain won’t stop.

I’d genuinely love your take:

  1. Would you trust an AI for moments like this? Why / why not?

  2. What guardrails would you expect from an “AI therapist” product?

  3. What’s one question that changed your life (or helped you make a hard decision)?
