How rivva actually knows when you're energized versus drained
A lot of people ask how rivva forecasts energy. Here's how it works:
We connect to your wearable (Apple Health, Oura, WHOOP, Fitbit) to get sleep data. During onboarding, we look at your sleep history over a couple of weeks to establish a baseline energy pattern.
This gives us an initial view of when you're typically sharper versus when energy dips. From there, the baseline gradually adjusts as new data comes in.
We apply circadian rhythm models:
Peak cortisol usually hits around 9am (high energy)
Post-lunch dip around 2pm (low energy)
Secondary peak late afternoon
Evening decline
We also calculate sleep debt over 14-day windows. A few bad nights won't shift your entire pattern, but consistent changes will adjust the baseline.
Then rivva schedules:
Deep work during forecasted peaks
Admin tasks during dips
Creative work when you're energized but not at absolute peak
