25k Users Later, Pretty Prompt 1.0 Launches on PH Jan 31 ⏰

by

This community helped turn a scrappy weekend project into something used by 25,000+ people from all around the world. So it felt right to share this here first:

On Jan 31, we are launching Pretty Prompt 1.0 right here on Product Hunt.

We are bringing back the “Grammarly for prompting”, bigger and bolder, with everything we shipped over the last 8 months.

Cleaner experience, better improvements, new integrations, Library, History, Refinement, and new ways to turn messy thoughts into perfect prompts in one click.

We are still a small, fully bootstrapped team, building in public and learning fast.

If you like supporting scrappy products early, please follow the page and show up on launch day, will genuinely mean a lot to us 🧡.

Keep Prompting!

Congrats!! Any lesson/tips from the first launch and how a fully bootstrapped team with no audience/connections, can have a successful launch?

@lucky_plant so many learnings, though I don't think there's a single thing that made it work, and also I don't know if anything we went through would apply to other type of products.

  • Simplicity was the single best thing we did. 1 feature only, 1 button only, 1 slogan only: Grammarly for prompting. You get what it is, how it works, what it does. That really helped on the first launch. So we're trying to keep the same for the upcoming launch on Jan 31st (please support us on launch day!)

  • We had both built previous startups before, and were super lucky to already had been working together for a year or so, so we were already moving fast, and focusing on what we thought was the most important thing: the product and the customers. What was missing was the product to pivot to. Once we saw the reaction of people when we launched Pretty Prompt, we fully pivoted to it from our past startup, and since then we haven't looked back. Here's a nice interview we did for Stripe about our story:

  • So many learnings about deploying AI in Production to millions of AI requests every day, lots of more learnings here: https://prettypromptai.substack.com/p/pretty-prompt-at-stripe-ai-at-scale

  • What worked is not one thing only, but a consistency of everything: building, improving, re-building, posting on Linkedin, posting on PH, posting everywhere, messaging people personally, commenting on posts, etc. I still do this today, where if someone has an issue or a request, I'll personally message them for a call, to learn more about it. Some of the best features of the app came from these conversations (like the new Refine V2!)

Hope this helps, always open to a call! And please give the tool a go, it's pretty awesome!

@lucky_plant I think it’s about consistently making noise till something sticks 😅

@ilaiszp thanks so much Ilai for your detailed answer! I’ll test it of course this weekend and maybe in near future I will take that offer for the call.. thanks again and I’ll share my experience with your product as soon as I have test it..

Congrats on the launch!

Reaching 25k users before Product Hunt is impressive. Pretty Prompt strikes a nice balance between simplicity and usefulness — it’s been fun to experiment with different prompt styles and see instant results. Curious what features you’re most excited to build next?

Ilai Szpiezak

@calchas We're super excited about extending to other platforms (currently building 14 integrations), building our Web App and mobile app, to make Pretty Prompt truly the way people communicate with AI on every input.

I'm also super excited of improving further our Context feature. This is super powrerful, it's like having ChatGPT memory, but across all AI tools, without having to constantly copy/paste stuff.

And personally, I'm using it more and more for Vibe coding, cos I save credits, and the AI just "gets it". No back and forth. Also I get excited to share our journey and how we think about building in general, and our values as founders. Check out our Substack, or on LinkedIn!
