Hey everyone!

We’re excited to finally share Paste 5.0 — a new chapter in how you use your clipboard.

Since day one, Paste has helped people save and organize everything they copy. With this release, we’re going beyond personal productivity and introducing collaboration to the clipboard for the first time.

Your pinboards now become a shared space — whether you’re working on something big with your team or just want to share your best picks with close ones.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also done a huge amount of work rebuilding our sync engine and improving performance across the board, so your workflow stays uninterrupted, and you can stay focused on what matters most.

Big thanks to @chrismessina for hunting us again and being part of the journey over the years!

📢 We’d love for you to take it for a spin and let us know what you think in the comments!

@chrismessina  @dobk Huge congrats on Paste 5.0! Bringing collaboration into the clipboard space is such a smart evolution — it turns a traditionally solo tool into a shared, living workspace. The new sync engine sounds like a major backend win too. Curious to see how teams use this for content workflows, design assets, or even research curation. Great job pushing the boundaries of what a clipboard can be! 👏

Super clean UX as always. Quick question: can I share a pinboard with someone who doesn't have Paste installed yet?
Dmitry Obukhov

@gorns Thanks! They should also have Paste installed. If it's not installed, they will be instructed how to get started when receiving the invite.

Paste is in my top 3 favorite products of all time.

Might seem weird for a small utility, but I couldn't live without it, I never understood why it was not a native feature of macOS, I LOVE it. GG to al the builders behind it, I owe you🙏

Dmitry Obukhov

@christophepas thanks! what are the other 2? :)

Christophe Pasquier

@dobk Aha mine 😇 @Slite + super.work

Dmitry Obukhov

@christophepas great combo!

I copy, you paste. Sounds super convenient!

Congratulations :)

@pritraveler Thanks! That’s just part of what Paste can do — there’s even more to explore! Check out our blog post to see how Paste can improve your workflow: https://pasteapp.io/blog/collaborative-clipboard

Wow, Paste just keeps getting better. The new version feels like such a natural evolution—cleaner, faster, and somehow even more satisfying to use. It’s rare to see a tool stay so focused and still keep surprising us. Really impressive work

Dmitry Obukhov

@giga_chkhikvadze1 thanks for being with us!

Kate Ramakaieva

Looks great - I’ve heard of Paste before but never tried it. Does it keep everything you copy forever, or is there a limit to how far back the clipboard history goes?

Excited to check it out!

Dmitry Obukhov

@kate_ramakaieva now it's time to try! Get it for free for 7 days on all your devices at pasteapp.io/appstore.

Paste keeps everything you copy, but you can set the history limits, exception rules and more in Settings. Let us know if you need a hand getting started!

Mads Hensel

Been using Past for years and it’s a integrated part of my everyday workflow ❤️ keep up the good work

Dmitry Obukhov

@madshensel thanks for being with us all those years! stay tuned ;)

As the hunter of the very first version of Paste here on PH I can say I'm delighted by the progress Paste has made through the years. The first version was a truly innovative tool to manage the macOS clipboard. It still is the best way to copy and paste. Can't say the collaborative features in version 5 will be valuable for me, but I certainly love that Paste is still actively developed with a continuous flow of new features. Thanks team!

How long ago was it—10 years? So good to hear from you, @t55 ! Thank you so much for your kind words and for being with us throughout the journey!

@dobk Ten years it was. March 25th 2015, as PH tells me. Glory days. Been a fan ever since. Always curious what innovations you bring next.

Paste 5.0 is a massive leap forward for productivity! The idea of transforming your clipboard into a collaborative hub, where you can seamlessly share pinboards with your team or keep your best picks organized, is pure genius. It’s exciting to see how the team has reimagined the core workflow while keeping performance smooth across devices. This is a tool every creative and team should try. Huge congrats to Dmitry and the team!
