What’s on your daily checklist (outside of work)?
We’re usually very good at creating to-do lists for work.
But what about everything outside of work?
I’ve started turning my personal habits into a checklist to build discipline and make these habits non-negotiable over time.
Here’s mine:
15 minutes of meditation
Read at least 10 pages of a book
Read one English article (any topic)
Take notes on new vocabulary from that article
Go for a run or work out
Learn knitting
Practice writing Python
I can't do all of these every day although I really want. However my time budge has limits.
Instead, I pick what fits my schedule that day. If I’ve done some today, I’ll prioritize the others tomorrow.
For me, the most important part is consistency just keeping these habits alive over time.
What about you?
Do you have a daily (non-work) checklist or personal habits you try to maintain? 👀✨

In the beginning of working day I usually plan my day in simple old-school notebook :)
and.. it actually works super great for me! it's like task tracker that always open on second screen

Practice writing Python – is it going well? I tried so many times, I failed so many times :DDDD
When it comes to me:
I exercise every single day
Read a book in the morning (at least one chapter)
Try learning foreign languages
Have a brisk walks :)

@busmark_w_nika I'm still learning. This is the website that I'm learning you can try, it is really hard for non-tech like us, but take it slow.

@ilichev Love it Kirill, try to keep those things
I like checking off at least one home task like tidying up the living room or planning dinner it makes the space feel calm and gives me a sense of accomplishment.

@pintu_singh8 I agree that doing the housework can help me forget the work :))
For me, my non-work checklist is more about energy than tasks. I try to move my body, read a few pages and spend some quiet time without my phone. If I do at least two of those, I count the day as a win.

@adebayo_fatima I think those habits will fulfill our day. I will do my work as fast as possible then I will have more time for myself.
eat
brush teeth
play pc
When I started counting my steps, I was shocked to see my count was as low as 50 per day. I try to volunteer for as much walking and moving around as I can because I work from home and do all my work on the computer. So if cups/plates need to be taken to the kitchen, or stuff needs to posted, or something needs to be done that involves walking, I always try to remember to volunteer so I can get my steps in.

@robnewport If you sitting too long it will affect on your spine and legs. Try to walking at least 30 minutes each day to keep your mind a little time to rest, allow your body to function instead of sitting at work.
@monatruong_murror great advice! Thank you.

@robnewport you're welcome, Robert.
This really resonates. I used to feel guilty for not doing all my habits daily, but rotating them like you do has helped me stay consistent long-term without burning out.

@mark_wood37 Yes absolutely. If we push ourselves too hard, we will feel exhausted and easier to give up. Only we know what we're doing, so we don't need to force ourselves
I don’t follow a checklist every day, but I track weekly habits instead. That way I don’t stress if I miss a day, and I still stay consistent overall.

@rose_florean Yeh I think we can flexible with our schedule, as long as you can complete all activities you set for each weak
Outside work, I focus on mental clarity. Meditation, stretching and learning something small every day. Some days it's a podcast, other days it's a page from a book. I rotate habits based on time, just like you mentioned.

@itohan_blessing_eigbadon Tiny things will make the big change. Try to not break those habits.
