Product update | Resume Checker 2.0

π Hey Product Hunt community!
I'm Egor Krasnoperov, co-founder of Mockin.work. Today I'm excited to share our latest update and the story behind it.
π The Context
We've been building tools for designers and noticed something frustrating in the job market. With fierce competition, getting filtered out at the resume stage has become painfully common.
The market is flooded with AI resume checkers promising instant fixes in minutes. But after testing dozens of them, I discovered some serious problems...
π What's wrong with existing resume checkers:
β Artificially low scores to push paid upgrades
β Generic "your design is terrible" feedback (even for resumes that work!)
β Absurd suggestions (one told me to add "intuition" as a skill)
β One-size-fits-all approach for all roles
β Resume Checker 2.0 built FOR designers BY designers
What makes it different:
π― Role-specific expertise β designed for UX/UI & Product designers
π Dual evaluation β ATS compatibility + recruiter perspective
π Complete transparency β we explain every recommendation
π¨ Content over design β we focus on what actually matters
π― Honest feedback β no fake low scores to upsell you
π Real results that matter
I tested our own tool on my resume and sent it to 10 companies β got 6 interview invitations!
The difference? Execution and expertise. We don't promise AI magic, only practical improvements based on real industry knowledge.
π Try it free right now
We're launching this updated version today, and you can test it completely free at mockin.work
Bonus: While built for designers, we've tested it with Product Managers and Art Directors too β they got tons of valuable insights!

I tried it. It would be great if it outlined some corrected version of the resume. It showed me some corrected versions, but to be honest, you need to fit yourself into one paper, and if I applied those fixes, my CV would cover at least 3 papers. Recruiters don't have much time to scan everything.
Mockin
@busmark_w_nikaΒ thank you so much for the feedback.
Our next step will be a CV builder right in Mockin (currently in closed alpha version). It will allow you to fit even extensive experience (like mine - 18 years of experience) into a maximum of two pages. But in most cases, it will be 1 page. At the same time, such a resume will pass ATS and weigh only 50kb.
Could you share your thoughts on the resume checker results?
How useful were the recommendations for you?

@egor_krasnoperovΒ I think that it gave me good insigts (really many many) and that's why it would be very difficult to fit them in 1 page.
Mockin
@busmark_w_nikaΒ you will be able to soon π
