Meet PawChamp - your Personal 24/7 Dog Training & Care Companion in your pocket :)

Hi everyone!

My name is Mark, and together with my team I’m building PawChamp, a mobile app for iOS & Android. We’re planning to try a Product Hunt launch in mid-October - timed with Adopt a Dog Month in the US. Alongside, we’ll run social campaigns to promote shelter dog adoption.

But… looking at all the diverse and beautiful AI-powered products launching these days, I feel humbled...
Is there still space here for a B2C product with pet parents as its core audience?

What PawChamp does:

  • We help people become better pet parents with an affordable dog training & care companion app. It’s a freemium model with subscription tiers (weekly, monthly, quarterly, 6 months, yearly). Our mission is to make high-quality dog training more accessible and affordable for everyone. PawChamp sits between traditional costly training and free but unstructured content on Google or YouTube.

What’s inside the app:

  • Pawchie AI Companion - a cheerful virtual corgi (Claude-powered) that shares dog-safe advice, training tips, jokes, and support. Pawchie can guide users on many dog topics but has built-in safeguards to ensure safe use.

  • 24/7 Chat with PawChamp Experts - real human dog trainers/handlers with avg. response time under 60s. They personalize training plans, solve complex behavior issues, and review photos/videos shared by users in chats to provide expert advice.

  • 100+ quick video tutorials for commands, games, and training routines, plus 1200+ structured tasks (text and video) for pet parent to learn and practice to keep dogs physically and emotionally stimulated and to solve different challenges they both may have .

I like to describe PawChamp as if edutainment apps and health & fitness apps got married. Think “Netflix for dog parents” - videos, expert chats (human + AI), challenges, quick courses, longer programs, ebooks, bite-sized lessons, games, and step-by-step tutorials. The difference? You can’t just chill - you need to learn, practice, and train with your dog to see results. We provide all the support to make that journey rewarding.

Where we are now:

  • App v.1.0.0 released in January 2025.

  • No Product Hunt launch experience yet..

  • No “superstar hunter” (do we even need one?)

  • Drafting our submission, visuals, demo video, and a dedicated PH landing page on our website.

  • Shipping a few new updates in the coming weeks.

  • Loved by many users already (we have 250k pet parents with us), but also learning from those we couldn’t fully help and failed - because we’re not a silver bullet for every dog problem and can't satisfy everyone.

  • We’re builders and makers, working eagerly to make PawChamp better every day.

My question to the community:

Do you think a product like this - focused on pet parents and dog training - is relevant for Product Hunt?

I’d deeply appreciate your advice, critique, and support.

Here’s our app (sometimes we break things to improve and may... create bugs, sometimes we get it right on the first try), but we are sincerely proud with what we want to build:

congrats team! I'm not a dog owner, but I know how important it is to have a qualitative support on the pet parent way!
