Launching an App for Travellers

Hey everyone,

I'm Kunal, a techie and a traveler. I'm working on an app for travelers to help them find companions for their journeys. Not everyone enjoys going solo, so the goal is to connect people with like-minded individuals who share the same level of excitement, adventure, and a touch of madness.

I've thought of some features already, but I'd love for you all to suggest some ideas for ice-breaker features that could help people connect more easily.

How can users be sure that it is safe? I mean, it is sometimes like a blind date, and travelling with someone unknown can be a risk (different personalities, unaligned goals during the trip, etc.).

@busmark_w_nika I’ll be adding government ID verification so that a person can create or join a trip only after verification. Additionally, you can recommend some tips to ensure safety. Regarding trip goals, there will be options such as trekking, camping, road trips, etc.

@busmark_w_nika  @kunalprajapati Uber and Lyft both have a feature that allow women to request that the driver/passenger is another women. Safety (for both men and women) is going to be a huge issue for you and just because someone can be verified doesn't mean that they're not a creep. If you haven't already, take a look at what guided tour companies do.
