What’s the most effective way to gather customer feedback for product improvements?

1. A telegram group with most active "true fans" of the product, where they share feedback, bugs, ideas. 2. Also, we organised a giveaway of 50$ for all users participating in feedback calls. We emailed all users inviting to participate and mentioning about the giveaway.

I initially found embedding a feature request forum like UserVoice to be the best approach. However, it became quite costly. Fortunately, there are several open-source alternatives available that can serve the same purpose effectively.

1. Use in-app feedback prompts and surveys to directly ask users for input. 2. Actively monitor social media, review sites, and forums to gather unsolicited feedback. 3. Reach out to your most engaged users for in-depth interviews to really understand their needs and pain points. Combining these approaches helps get a holistic view. And incentives like gift cards never hurt participation rates!

Collect feedback at the right time and moment, make it feel like it is natural. It is helpful to have in product feedback system.
