Do you have a source of information/medium you trust? Which one? (not only for tech info)
Now I don't just mean tech, but general news as well.
A lot of people rely on X as a news source, but increasingly on TikTok. I don't think social media is the most trustworthy source of information.
However, I have found that paid sources tend to be the better ones.
For me:
The Economist
The Financial Times
TechCrunch – I get a lot of inspiration from here on the Product Hunt forums (topics)

Totally with you! Paid sources like FT and The Economist feel a lot more reliable.
For me, it’s a mix, though - trusted newsletters for depth, Reddit for niche communities, and Product Hunt for founder takes (although it's difficult to find). Curated more by people than platforms these days.

@busmark_w_nika Umm, that's a tough question. Depends on the nature of the news. If I see multiple creators talking about the same thing, then I re-check what the media is saying.
But its a little tricky, if a lot of influencers are talking about the same topic and you can spot same keywords in their scripts - it could be a driven campaign 👀

I'm with you on the paid sources being higher quality. The Economist is solid.
For me, I've built a pretty mixed stack:
Hacker News - not just for tech trends, but the comment sections often have deeper insights than the articles
Substack newsletters from specific domain experts (cheaper than full publications, more niche)
Product Hunt discussions like this one - honestly, some of the most honest founder-to-founder conversations happen here
Reddit - but only hyper-specific subreddits for my industry (r/smallbusiness, r/saas, etc.)
The trick I've learned: don't follow sources, follow smart people. One good writer at a mediocre publication beats a mediocre writer at The Times.

@ansh_deb As for comments, I tend to read them more than consuming the particular post/article/video :D + Reddit is also fine – but these are more opinionated.
When it comes to FT, I liked their social media, and their content was more digestible. Yeah, I am more social media manager, and that affected me. :)
New Scientist. the writing is crisp. the articles are immersive on great topics. in terms of general news and stuff, wired and the new york post is great.

Great picks, Nika. I’d add HBR and a16z’s Future blog both offer a strategic lens for anyone in SaaS or marketing. I still follow TechCrunch for launches, but pair it with Stratechery for depth and analysis.
