Can Product Hunt actually bring in customers after launch day?
It did for us.
3 customers came to @Flexprice last week. No ads, no cold DMs. Just conversations.
Most people treat Product Hunt as a one-day spike.
I treat it like a community of builders.
We launched Flexprice last year and learned (the hard way) what works here and what doesn’t.
So now I keep it simple:
– I support makers launching on Product Hunt for free
– I give honest product feedback as a real user
– I help with launch strategy when useful
No pitch. No agenda.
In return, I ask one question:
“How are you handling pricing and billing today?”
That opens up real conversations about broken workflows and internal hacks.
Some led to demos.
Many led builders to join the Flexprice community to keep learning together.
Product Hunt works when you show up as a builder first.
Curious, how are you using Product Hunt beyond launch day?

It is like that. Many makers simply rely on Product Hunt, like: "I will launch there, and I will be done."
Hell, no. It is a part of the strategy, not the strategy itself (even tho you need to come up with one when launching).
It is for creating awareness.
Getting feedback.
Improvements.
Networking and getting new connections.
And then... maybe users or potential customers, or potential investors.
Re question about pricing, I would recommend giving a free trial or a freemium version, so you can acquire more users in the onboarding process and make them stick to your solution for a longer time. As soon as they are used to it, they can upgrade.
But, of course, it depends on the product and reputation. If you already have one (and very strong), you can sell right away with regular pricing.
Completely agree.@busmark_w_nika Product Hunt is just one touchpoint.
The real value is in the feedback, conversations, and learnings that come after launch day.
Users and revenue follow only if you do that part well.

@shreya_chaurasia19 Yes, you need to scale the solution (ideally) before the launch, so it is easier to convince people, becaues you have some proof.
+1 to this. Real feedback > launch-day noise. Curious how you decide who to support?
