Datastripes Compare Mode is a supercharged way to spot differences in your data
We've added a new Compare Node in Datastripes that turns side-by-side analysis into a one-step flow.
How it works:
Drop in two incoming data nodes.
The Compare Node automatically checks for matching columns and aligns them.
It highlights differences, runs comparisons, and outputs both charts and narrative insights.
Use cases:
Compare income statements from two companies to see structural or performance differences.
Track the same company across multiple years to visualize year-over-year growth or contraction.
Detect mismatches between datasets that should align but don’t, flagging errors or anomalies.
Performance:
Heavy computation runs on dedicated workers, so the UI stays responsive even with large datasets.
This node turns what used to take multiple steps (joins, manual charting, commentary) into a single drop-in block. It’s designed for analysts, auditors, and researchers who need to see “what changed” or “what’s different” without writing custom code.
