Anyone else play callback roulette with unknown numbers?

Quick question: Have you ever been in this situation?

You've called 3 different plumbers because your sink is flooding. You're desperately waiting for ONE of them to call back. Your phone rings... and you're stuck in this weird limbo:

• Pick up → It's probably spam (because let's be real, 90% of unknown calls are)

• Don't pick up → What if it's THE plumber?

So you answer... and it's "We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty" 🙃

Curious: How do you all handle this?

• Do you answer every unknown number when expecting callbacks?

• Use any tricks to screen calls?

• Just send everyone to voicemail and deal with it later?

Note: The latest iPhone call screening isn't helpful in this scenario—you still have to screen each call yourself, including all the solicitations.
