What's great
I'm really enjoying Trace for getting the content I care about, in the portions I care about.
I can thumbs up, or thumbs down the content I want to see more of, or the content I don't care for.
I can easily adjust how much more or less of a category I'll see in my feed.
The bookmarks allow me to create a reading list of items I want to read in the future.
Trace hits on all the features I look for.
What needs improvement
There are a few tiny quirks in UI rendering, quite normal for relatively new apps.
Sometimes the app suggests the free trial, even though I have already upgraded, then it catches up, and the trial component disappears.
Also some feed items are repeated at times.
Nothing major.
vs Alternatives
I'm not an expert in content algorithms, but I feel like if you read a certain type of content a few times, the algorithm assumes that is ALL you ever want to read, all of the time. This seems to have a compounding effect, which in my opinion is hard to break, unless you start over completely.
How well does it learn from your feedback over time?
Very well
Can you filter out noisy or clickbait sources easily?
Yes
Is there a cap on sources or followed topics?
I think the limit is 8, but I could only come up with 3 or 4 things I'm interested in. I think having too many topics will crowd your feed.
