Why lifetime license vs subscription?
Everything is subscription these days. I remember when you bought software on a CD... it was yours, forever. Somewhere along the way, we accepted that paying €60/year for a Git client was normal. But here's the thing: Git hasn't fundamentally changed. The workflows are the same. The commands are the same. So why should I keep paying every year for the same tool? GitUX is a solid 4 week trail,...

Hi everyone, 6 months ago I got tired of paying €60/year for my git client, so I built GitUX. The fast, lightweight alternative I actually wanted to use. I started with SourceTree many years ago after SVN and a few others along the way, then got hooked with the ease of Gitkraken, but in later years fatigued with their cost and excess features that slowed everything on my machine down... started...

Which tool chains do you (or have you) worked with as product managers?
My current work place, the tool chain from discovery to delivery is kind of a little wild... a mix of gsheets/gdocs/miro/figma/notion/jira and slack.. In previous places we stuck to teams + conlfuence + jira Which do you use?

It looks pretty, but to be expected from Apple. Personally, I am not a fan of this level of wearable tech. I think I will wait for holographic displays to become a reality...

Do you have a page about your pricing? It does look cool.. but I guess it depends how much it costs. I've also been hoping someone will put together a news reader that will take compare news stories in different languages to give the reader a more balanced view. EG: How is the latest news about the US debt ceiling talked about in the USA vs Germany vs Japan

A well crafted story. All the other technical aspects are important, problem, product, team etc etc. But without a good story it will fall flat.

It guess it totally depends on the kind of product... a simple app, then sure... rough and ready is perfect for PH like: https://www.producthunt.com/prod... We're launching a much bigger concept tomorrow, we did launch with alpha users and early adopters but only with word of mouth and not over a big platform like PH. We're actually launching for the 1st time on PH tomorrow if you would like to...

IMO it is all about knowing your audience. I find often the issue with telling friends about a project is that they are not the target audience... so don't take their input to heart: Find people online who might align with your idea/concept. I released a small POC https://www.producthunt.com/prod... the other week... even though this is a project for developers, friends of mine that are...
Does anyone else find that telling people about your projects makes you not build them?
