Hidden Bar is great for manually hiding menu bar icons.
For Stealthly, I added automatic screen share/record detection, so the user wouldn't have to remember to clean the menu bar. Plus, Stealthly enables Do Not Disturb mode, hides desktop icons, wallpaper, the dock and active app windows on top of the menu bar functionality.
Unfortunately, Pliim doesn't offer automatic screen share/record detection and relies on the user to remember to turn it on/off. Plus, when I downloaded the trial version from the website, macOS gave me warning that running the application might not be safe.
Stealthly runs in the macOS sandbox and gives the user control of what features to allow.
