What's great
Framer is incredibly easy to use once you get past the basics. The no-code approach is genuinely powerful and allows designers to ship production-ready websites without writing code. Performance is fast both in the editor and on live sites, even when using animation-heavy layouts.
Animation capabilities are one of Framer’s biggest strengths — creating smooth interactions and modern motion feels natural and intuitive. On top of that, the Figma integration is seamless, making the transition from design to a live, interactive website surprisingly frictionless.
What needs improvement
The biggest challenge is the initial setup. Framer can feel overwhelming at first, especially for new users, and the learning curve is steeper than expected for a no-code tool. Some advanced features are still missing or limited, and pricing can feel high for individuals or early-stage projects.
The CMS works well for simpler use cases but becomes restrictive for more complex content structures. Improving onboarding, documentation, and flexibility in these areas would make the experience even stronger.
