AI editing vs video generation
Most “AI editing” tools do one of two things: – generate synthetic content – or apply fixed templates to your media Isn't it kinda absurd that the industry pushed video generation so far without a clear current use (beyond AI slop 😅), while editing real footage (which is what most creators and viewers want) has remained mostly manual and neglected. I want a tool that edits real photos and...

Hi Nika! I think AI for physical work is really interesting, though high cost of entry, far horizon and a lot of vaporware right now. Even more fascinating is infrastructure tech enabled by AI, in part for the science and engineering boost, and in part on the massive capital generated by AI adoption. Stuff like energy, orbital datacenters, semiconductors, drug discovery... But again capital...

I use expo for cross-platform development. Still, iOS is way more troublesome, from native modules to UI peculiarities, to OS strictness about memory and rendering load, to build configurations, to App Store listing and review… unless you’re doing something very simple, Apple is inevitably gonna be more troublesome. For context our android review was automatic. No check, no nothing 😂 With iOS...

Haven't been on dating apps for a while, they all are giving Grindr vibes... and the ones more serious-oriented are giving "compulsive networker" or "afraid of dying alone" vibes. I can only imagine what Facebook dating is like 🙃 I'd love to hear it if someone has tried it, even if only for the laughs. I feel like the same non-user centric decisions that ruin social media are 10x more...

Frankly they arrive very very late. This is no doubt a reprise of their flop against Figma. They should be trying to develop tech for the next wave, not jump into the old one. Templates, effects, even AI gimmicks like Adobe Firefly are already old. What's coming is literally editing videos with natural-language prompts, having an AI editor on autopilot, editing directly the posts already...

Think of an artisan who's honed their craft for years, and suddenly everyone’s hyping up a janky, quick production method that only barely works. Even if it opens up new possibilities and lowers barriers, it’s a bit insulting when real expertise is disregarded and everyone pretends the prototype is the finished product. The reality is, those MVPs always end up needing actual engineers behind...
Are "real" engineers/developers (secretly) hating on non-technical vibecoders?

I’m applying for this YC batch with Rkive AI 😎 the app that automates content creation completely, like a real team. -It syncs with your camera roll and works in the background. -Turns raw pics and videos into reels, carousels, infographics... anything! -Follows your style and content strategy to the letter, even if it's borderline brainrot. -Shows you a feed of your own posts (with push...
