Hey everyone, I’m Peter, the developer of Pantry AId! 🍽️ I’ve been working hard to make this the best tool for organizing your kitchen, managing your pantry, and simplifying grocery shopping. To celebrate the launch, I’m offering a full year for free—just use the link below! https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ct... I’d love to hear your feedback and reviews so I can continue improving the app and making it even more helpful. Thanks so much for your support! Edit: I just realized there’s an issue with the paywall display for the Product Hunt release. While it doesn’t affect functionality, the app may initially show a paywall with a 7-day trial notice. However, if you download via the link above or start your trial today, you’ll still receive the full 1-year free subscription. The important part is the iOS UI showing the expiration/renewal date of the subscription—please ignore the 7-day message. Apologies for any confusion! If you experience any issues, feel free to DM me via the support email, and I’ll ensure your free 1-year subscription is properly set up.

@peter_szucs congrats on launching Pantry AId! 🎉 It’s amazing how it simplifies kitchen management.
Peter Szucs
@owenfar hey :) that would be amazing and utopian 😄 but as for now I hope this also helps some people 🙂 Premium includes: custom storage categories, AI photo identification, AI recipe generation, sharing shopping list and storages, unlimited barcode scans per day (free version is 10/day) and expiry notifications. And you're right this could be included on the app store page to make it clear

@peter_szucs How can no-mac users redeem the code?
Peter Szucs
hi @chikedor, I currently only have an ios app :( I wanted to build from there and add other platforms later
Chikedor
@peter_szucs Oh, ok! Better go step by step. I downloaded it on my iPhone but i've never redeemed a code like this, so using your link on a PC browser gave me the "Connecting to Mac Store" message. I accessed from my iPhone and that sends my to the App Store. Now i've activated. Thank you, Peter! Great app! It was some of the ideas I had in mind to build, tomorrow will be a big test, since groceries are coming!

@peter_szucs Congratulations on the launch of Pantry AId! The AI-powered features, such as photo identification and barcode scanning, are truly innovative and have the potential to make kitchen management a breeze. To maximize user satisfaction, it might be helpful to include tutorials or FAQs that guide users on how to best utilize these features. Additionally, collecting feedback on the accuracy and speed of these features will be essential for continuous improvement. How do you plan to gather and implement user feedback to refine these AI-powered features? Looking forward to hearing about your future product iteration plans!
Peter Szucs
@zephyrion hey, 😊 There's a short onboarding that tries to familiarize the users with the most important features but I agree, adding some more interactive tutorial experience could be super helpful. Regarding feedback on the AI-powered features, I’m planning to actively collect user insights through in-app prompts, feedback forms, and reviews. This will allow me to fine-tune my prompts. I'll also experiment with different AI models to ensure continuous improvement

Hey Peter, I'm interested in the AI photo identification. How accurate is it with homemade or unlabeled items? For households with multiple users, how does the app handle shared inventories and shopping lists? Congrats on the launch!
Peter Szucs
@kyrylosilin hey! As far as home made items go it will be reasonably good for example with pickled vegetables where the content is recognizable and it will probably struggle determining what kind jam you're showing to it but will guess 🙂 Regarding having shared storages and shopping list it's on the roadmap but this first iteration doesn't have it yet.

Hi Peter! This app looks amazing and exactly what I need to get my kitchen organized. I have a quick question—how accurate is the AI-powered photo identification feature? Can it recognize a wide variety of food items, and how does it handle less common ingredients? Thanks for offering a free year, excited to try it out!
Peter Szucs
Hi @pierre_peng, photo identification has been pretty accurate in my testing for a variety of things. It won't classify items precisely, like it will say apples instead of Granny Smith apples but in most cases it will give you a reasonable result

Сool app! Congratulations! We live outside the city and don’t go to the store every day. What I’d love (just in case)? Notifications when some products are about to expire, so I know it’s time to eat them!
Peter Szucs
Hey @kate_prasniak ☺️ Premium does have expiry notifications, I also want to add a widget to make it easier to track
