Very ease to setup, use and quickly get voice to text going across all platforms. Love custom dictionary and appreciate open source first thinking
I'd like to eventually see hosting my own model so that i can control all data
10x better than siri, occasionally missing but not massively
Fairly well, but custom dictionary crushes this
I am not aware of this
I love how smart it is and it understands ur intent and refines ur words on the fly
Deeper personalization and learning features
Because of how it makes things easier
I used Ito on my PC while trying to finish my CHM 417 assignment and it low-key saved me. I was trying to explain something about the lathenides and antanides (I swear these names were made to stress students) and my brain just stopped working. So I held the shortcut and talked it out. Ito cleaned it up and put it in the text box like I actually knew what I was saying lol.
What surprised me is I didn’t have to talk in a perfect way. I paused like three times, messed up a whole sentence, even said ‘wait no that’s wrong’ in the middle, and Ito still made it sound normal. If Ito can get me through the rest of CHM 417, that would be nice because I’m struggling fr
I’ve used it for quick notes, messaging people, and emailing my lecturer when I can’t type one more word. It’s pretty fast and honestly takes some stress off when I’m already drowning in school stuff.
Didn’t think I’d like it this much but yeah… Ito is legit
I picked Ito because it actually works in any text box, and talking is easier for me when I’m tired from school. The other tools I tried didn’t feel as smooth.
As a writer who’s been stuck trying to transfer an entire manuscript from paper to screen, I’ve battled with typing fatigue more times than I’d like to admit.
Manually re-typing chapters was exhausting, my wrists hurt, my keyboard frowns at me lol, and the process hinders my creative flow. I've tried other AI Speech to text tools but they all have short comings.
I tried Ito . It has great response time (Terrific), almost instant, and the accuracy genuinely shocked meit catches punctuation, names, indentation and likes.
The interface is simple, clean, and so easy to use that it feels like having a personal assistant right on your Text you just have to use your Shortcut button or just "Hey Ito" it.
I’ve been able to dictate huge parts of my manuscript without losing momentum, and the progress is the fastest I’ve made in months. Ito could still get even better with features like offline mode, voice-style detection, and cross-device sync, but even without these, it has already become a productivity cheat code for writers, students, and anyone who types a lot. If typing feels overwhelming, Ito is the perfect escape plan and my fingers have never been more grateful.
A few upgrades could make ito even more powerful. Adding an offline mode would help during low connectivity moments, and stronger long form editing tools could make handling chapters and large documents smoother. Voice-style detectio, able to distinguishing dialogue from narration, this would boost accuracy even more, and cross device syncing would create a seamless workflow across phones and laptops.
Ito handles punctuation and formatting automatically, it adds commas, periods, paragraphs, and line breaks as you speak, making your dictation look decent
Ito performs well with accents overall, but like most voice-to-text tools, accuracy improves the more you use it. It learns your speech patterns over time, so recognition gets smoother and more accurate with continued use.
If I knew that for a long time I would have easily dictated my emails, Notes, reports and even random shower thoughts at lightening speed with an AI sidekick that works everywhere, I would have saved my self a lot of stress, time and poor working rate. Right now in terms of doing research, my keyboard is on an involuntarily vacation.
Ito.ai isn’t just a dictation tool, it’s basically my new productivity partner.
It hears what I meant to say, not just what I said, and somehow turns my chaotic spoken rambles into clean, structured, human-quality writing. Punctuation? Done. Formatting? Done. Tone adjustments? Sorted. As someone that English is not my first language, Ito saves me a lot of time really.
Their AI lets me code, write emails faster, summarize long write ups and helps with their Smart commands.
This is worth using and worth trying out.
Personally, I have not come across a problem that Ito can’t solve so until I do, I don’t have any thing I need improvement on.
Personally apart from really advanced and intelligent Ai, what makes it stand out is its AI-Enhanced Dictation which accurately listens and accurately dictates even terrible pronunciation and maybe not talking clearly. It really is a big help for people like me who really don’t like texting and whose accent is not 100 percent.
For me (I don’t know about others) any technical problem or really difficult and complex problems I bring to Ito are always handled wonderfully.
It handles punctuations perfectly.
For me Personally, even with English not being my first language and my accent being a bit faltered, Ito actually gets everything I say well without errors.
